So I have this project where, to cut it short, we need a 144Tb storage/archive server. The original idea was to simply run TrueNAS and call it a day there, however, we have a proxmox cluster up and running for a bunch of in house services.
The new idea was to run a TrueNAS VM on a new PVE system and add it to our cluster, now thinking into it, how should I go about it?
New system will have 6 x 24Tb drives (going to add to in the future), should I set it up as a new Proxmox instance? Should I run it with XFS or also run it with ZFS (RAID 0?, they do not care about redundancy of the data)? Would it be better to just outright run TrueNAS?
Any advice and/or suggestions welcome!
P.S.
The other systems on the cluster are all set up for HA with RAID 1, I'm not sure if there's any forseeable conflict with this info
