Hi all,
I'm running a 4 node pve cluster (6-1.3) with ovs installed. All networks configured using ovs and all interfaces are LACP bonded.
OVS BOND (LACP) -> OVS BRIDGE -> VMS
-> Intports
Recently I noticed Windows VMs using intel E1000 drivers disconnecting after some...
I am running into an issue any time I try setting up OVS bridge. I loose network to my dedicate sever. I have a point-to-point link to my public IP provided by the hosting company. I was able to on one of my boxes for a short time run the interfaces Bridge config and it worked. So I figured I...
Hi,
I just discovered your and this one corresponds to my needs towards my lab server.
I made a first note:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
allow-vmbr0 bond0
iface bond0 inet manual
ovs_bridge vmbr0
ovs_type OVSBond
ovs_bonds eth0 eth1
ovs_options bond_mode=balance-tcp...
Hallo,
Hi everybody,
I try to setup an OVS ring with 3 nodes. This setup requires some kind of stp.
I've created a OVS bridge in the webui and added the option "rstp_enable=true" in the OVS options field.
After a restart I get

Hi All,
I have been testing ovs with openflow on proxmox lately using faucet (faucet.nz) as the sdn controller. It works great, installation and configuration is simple and straightforward.
The issue I am running into is that Proxmox changes the ofport on ovs when for example the vm is reset...
I have a 3 node cluster setup that is claiming mac addresses used by other devices on the network. I have one central switch, E1 and several switches, A##, connected to that one. One proxmox host is connected to A10 and two are connected to A11. The ports connected to the proxmox servers...
Hallo Zusammen
Dear Proxmox staff and forum members,
being new to PVE and high availability systems in general, I'd like to discuss a 3-node-cluster setup, that involves network redundancy by means of OpenVSwitch using RSTP and 2 switches,
and beg you to pardon possible beginner's mistakes.
Each node is...
Hi,
I created a cluster with OVS networking stack and vlan to sperate networks.
The configuration on each cluster node is the same as described in the wiki (https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Open_vSwitch#Example_2:_Bond_.2B_Bridge_.2B_Internal_Ports)
except that i used 4 interfaces in the bond0...
Hi all,
I'm pretty new to ProxMoxVE and have difficulties with getting the networking part. The ProxMox host is connected to our physical network twice:
- one 1GbE network adapter connected to our management switch
- two 10GbE network adapter connected to our main switch, LACP bonded
Both...
Hallo,
After dist-upgrading one of my cluster nodes to PVE 5.2 the following messages started to show up in the syslog/dmesg:
I think this message has something to do with the new kernel version 4.15
Hi,
I have a Proxmox Server with a dual-port NIC. In order to multiple single port bandwith I want to define a bond on the server and VLAN link aggregation on switch.
I have this managed switch: D-Link DGS-1100-16.
There are several questions to be clarified:
- How can I identify which...
Hello,
We have speed loss with mtu set to 9000 and WMs using a mtu of 1500.
Here is the configuration, we have 2 proxmox connected to a switch :
vmbr1 is an ovs bridge with mtu 9000.
Bond0 is an ovs bond with mtu 9000, each member of the bond has a mtu of 9000 using pre-up, and is link vmbr1...
After searching the forums for the last three days....and not finding a complete answer....I wanted to see if anyone else has tried to configure Proxmox with a similar configuration....and if so, can I see your /etc/network/interfaces file :)
Here a picture of what I'm looking for...
