I am currently exploring Proxmox Mail Gateway and have set up a test system. However, I have encountered an issue that has raised concerns for me.
While testing the Mail Gateway with DNSBL, I observed in the logs that one of my test emails was flagged as spam with the following error...
I have some senders that use bulk sending tools, and some of the service's IPs are listed in RBLs. Thus blocking some emails and receiving others, I would like to know how to permanently release all emails received from this domain? Remembering that I already used the Configuration>Mail...
I have configured MYDQSKEY.zen.dq.spamhaus.net as "DNSBL Sites" Parameter. "DNSBL Treshold" is set to 3.
In the mail.log I can see a lot of postfix/dnsblog lines accordingly to my DNSBL Sites Parameter. Some of them will be denied, some allowed. So it seems to work.
But, when I use the test...
Colleagues, good afternoon! Tell me, please, how can I put whitelist higher in priority than DNSBL? The problem is that the mailbox we need got into DNSBL, adding this mailbox to the whitelist did not help. Very necessary.
We've set spamhaus and barracuda to be our DNSBL, but I dont like it that mail is rejected when the first service in the list is not available.
Is there a way to requeue the mail after x seconds so the service can be tried again? Perhaps with an y number of retries?
This should not lead...
I receive a massive amount of spam every day. I am searching for the root cause and checked one of the messages. The IP of the sending server does appear on the Barracuda Blacklist, if I manually check this, nevertheless it gets delivered to me.
It seems that there is no RBL check at all...
We are having problems missing emails due to the IP range from google being blacklisted. Is there any way other than disable dnsbl to return rejected emails to Quarantine state.
Thanks and Regards !
Trying to defeat spam, I started setting up DNSBL - I didn't find any other way to fight spam. But too many useful emails and good servers end up in DNSBL. Setting score level = 6 otherwise too much gets into spam.
There are explicit spam emails (which were delivered to users, explicit mailings...
I ask you to add DNSBL in the settings - similarly with DNSBL - often blacklist closes good domains and using whitelist can compensate for this.
If you add them to the general DNSBL sites - good domains are blocked:

I have one DNSBL that always has issues, not sure where the issue lies. Possibly DNS, but I'm not 100% sure. Looking for some ways to troubleshoot to verify the issue.
You can see the warnings here for spamrats:
Apr 14 17:22:46 smtp postfix/postscreen: warning: dnsblog reply timeout 10s...
I keep getting legitimate mail rejected by 'spam.dnsbl.sorbs.net' like below, however as per pmg.conf I'm not using spam.dnsbl.sorbs.net in the DNSBL list. Is there something wrong or am I missing something?
/var/log/syslog:14519:Jul 31 20:15:28 pmg postfix/postscreen: NOQUEUE...
Since our firewall change to opnsense the DNSBLs doesn't work.
On opnsense we use unbound DNS as resolver.
Where are the log-files for the DNSBL on the Proxmox Mail Gateway?
Proxmox Mail Gateway 5.0 looks great! Good work.
During my tests I found a few things I would like to share/ask.
I'm using PMG for incoming mail filtering only. I've setup a domains MX record to the PMG and added the domain to "Relay Domains" and setup a Transport to the destination...
