I really love the idea of the Proxmox Backup Server.
Kudos to you guys for the great product!!
When do you expect to have support for Cloud Sync so one can store contents of the backup server in public clouds like B2, S3 etc?
$xline
Welcome to the Proxmox Virtual Environment. Please use your web browser to
configure this server - connect to:
https://${localip}:8006/
$xline
in addition to the localip, I would like to add another line hostnamectl or fqdn of this PVE node.
How do I do that?
I have a KVM host - Fedora 31 with about 10 vm's.
They are old Windows - XP, Server 2003R2 & 2008 (not R2).
I'm thinking I should move them over to Proxmox & use the backup feature to backup the vm's.
Good idea or not?
Currently, the vm's have no backup!
These are the SSDs I have:
5x Intel S3710 - 400GB --use for o/s & mon ?
25x Samsung PM853T - 960GB --use for OSD ?
Is that correct?
Looks like I have enough to build a 5 node cluster?
Trying to get some additional info:
If I install Proxmox on a portion of one of the 6x SSDs, what do I do with the rest of the available space, use it for MON?
Ok, so I'll scratch the DOM idea. The DOM was a carry over from a previous XenServer install I had.
If I install Proxmox on a portion of one of the SSDs, what do I do with the rest of the available space, use it for MON?

4 nodes: each node has 1x SATA-DOM + 6x SSD

Just started learning how to use Proxmox.
I'd like to build a Proxmox VE + Ceph cluster.
What can I do with the 4th node...

Trying to install Proxmox using SM IPMI
In UEFI mode, the screen will not resize/change resolution. BIOS mode is ok.
Any ideas why?
ps, I tried using a Fedora 25 ISO &...
Forgive my Ceph lack of knowledge...
Is a RAID controller needed for the Ceph disks? I assume the answer is no & the Ceph software should be in total control of the disks
