Please advise as I need to get production up and running again. Should I just revert back to the PVE 5.x version?
Had to R&R due to no backups and a hardware failure. Upgraded/installed PVE6.0.1 on EYPC 7551 but it's not loading the virtualization module and manually doesn't seem to cut it...
ran
# dpkg --list | grep pve-kernel
then
apt purge pve-kernel-4.15.17-1-pve
and THIS time it was successful, even though the 2 reboots and attempts BEFORE this post it wasn't.
This allowed me to run 'apt upgrade'
The SDCARDs are provided by Dell with Raid 1. I understand the fastest possible...
I installed Proxmox VE on a 16GB card. I let Proxmox installer handle the storage configuration automatically. EVERY SINGLE TIME I INSTALL A new 'apt install' I run out of space and rebooting no longer fixes the problem! If someone has a CLEAR (read non, pipe this and > that and % there to f^%k...
I have created a bash script that will strip the special characters from the .json file and organize via comma delimited CSV file. Original JSON file provided by the pvesh get <resource> --output-format json
You will have duplicate headers but it's still useful for SQL import commands.

I have installed via Baremetal ISO and the physical host is setup with Mirrored 16GB S.D. cards for the o/s while all non-OS storage is provided via iSCSI.
The problem I running into is I can't seem to avoid filling up the 204MB available on /dev/mapper/pve-root (which is just a syslink to...
Thank you for the response.
RESOLVED: Out of all the things it ended up being, it was a faulty switch configuration, NOT my /etc/network/interfaces configuration. To answer your question, I was trying everything under the sun to get it work, but in all honesty, the OUT OF BOX solution works...
Also confirmed this is happening to me with all the vm's powered off. It sometimes takes 20 mins, 60 mins or 4 hours but it eventually restarts. I am on the latest available during this time and it happens EVERY SINGLE TIME, in which I usually just use iDRAC to warm reboot the device. I...
This is getting on my last nerve. This documentation is WAYYYY too vague https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Network_Configuration
I have since created the bond0 and assigned eno1 and eno2 and assigned the bond-type to active-backup and it works great for VLAN1(untagged) traffic just like it always...
Thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately your first example is where I started and it did not work, probably due to starting the VM with a VLAN assigned to the guest VM didn't create the vmbr0v201 as you suggested. I did manually create it and it's adapters and restart to try that and it also...
I noticed I have MANUAL instead of STATIC in the vmbr0201 line in interfaces file. I will update to STATIC even though I don't know if I need an IP ADDRESS (again I don't want the Promox host reachable through my clients VMs/vlans), reboot and report back.
RESOLVED: See last thread as the issue ended up being a switch and firewall config issue, not Proxmox VE. My fault.
------ Original thread below ------
I have kept the trial small.
I installed a new VM on the default bridge (vmbr0) and tagged it for vlan 201 (and bridge was vlan aware)
I was...
I am the process of automating a website where someone can "purchase" a VM container and it's built automatically for them (via scripting) on the backed.
To do this I need to make sure I don't over allocate my resources.
I am new to the REST API so I apologize if this is an option already...
I have restarted the host about 5 times since changing the time zone. In theory I would think that the service has been restarted as well. I will manually restart the service tonight and report back.
Thank you for the response,
Scott [C14G]
I am referring to the date and time underneath each graph. It's set to UTC, even though the host isn't. If this is "compile time" how is the information useful on the graph as opposed to system time so you can actually see spikes at system times? (actually curious, not being a smart-alec)
I decided to dive into PVE due to it's perceived (I may be wrong) ability to provide a web dashboard per customer. Is this possible?
For instance let's say I have a cluster with 3 hosts. 'Client A' builds signs up for 3 VMs and 'Client B' signs up for 10 machines.
I would like to set it up...
So NTP is working from the host and it's time is correct. But if I go to the summary page, the time is off by 3 hours. Can this be adjusted somewhere? It would be nice if it could be done via GUI.

I have a Synology NAS, nothing special. I created a brand new lun and a brand new target and when I add the iscsi (again via GUI ONLY), it works fine.
I then click STORAGE > ADD > LVM and BASE VOLUME comes up blank, on a brand new block level lun.
The only way that the BASE VOLUME shows up...
Thank you for the reply. I decided to blow away and set it up as you recommended. However, 1 Target (iSCSI) and 1 NFS Share. The NFS Share is working just fine, I am currently uploading a WIN10 iso now via pscp, due to the web interface size limit of ~ 1gigabyte.
I have added the iSCSI...
