Welcome to the Proxmox forum, tirk!
You should be able to do it with fdisk/parted. This article [0] was written for PVE guests, but it should also apply to PVE hosts as far as I'm concerned when you're booting a Linux Live ISO on the same machine. Be aware that this could pose a risky...
Hello GroupPolicy!
These are just informational messages about when your bridges are running STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) and as long as they land in "forwarding state", it should usually not be a problem. The connectivity issues you're describing are a problem of course.
Could you post how...
My bad, I just noticed that you're already passing args: -cpu host,-hypervisor,kvm=off and cpu: host,hidden=1,flags=+pcid to the VM already. It would be helpful to have more information on the game server you're trying to run, but in general it's quite easy for an application check if it's...
This doesn't seem to be a PVE-related problem, but with the VM detection algorithm used by the game server you want to start. You could try read the source code if "server_start" is a simple shell script and if there are some VM checks you could comment them out, but it would be harder if its a...
By the way, how are you going to use the snapshots? Snapshots are good if you want to jump back to some states quickly (e.g. if something has gone wrong), but if you want to use them for data recovery (e.g. a hard disk fails), you should make backups of these VMs on other storage devices.
Could you also show me the "Hardware" configuration of those two virtual machines (101 and 103)? I'd like to see which storages they use for their disks. If they use any storage that doesn't support snapshots (as shown in the table from my previous answer), you cannot take snapshots with these...
Yes, that's correct! Proxmox VE uses the df command to get the used available space for the ZFS directory mount (with storage type dir).
Proxmox VE uses the zfs command to get the used and available space when the storage type is zfs, where it will output the sizes for the whole ZFS pool. The...
As the others already mentioned, there are different kinds of storages available for Proxmox VE hosts. By default, the installer is setup on a single disk, which is setup with a Logical Volume manager (pve-data/local-lvm) and a directory storage on top of that (pve-root/local). The difference...
Thanks for getting back here and posting the solution! It'd be nice if you could change the thread to "[SOLVED]", so others can see that the solution has already been found and is posted here.
This should the expected behavior of the WebGUI's usage statistics, as even though the zpool-hdd/pve/images/100 dataset is a child dataset of the parent dataset zpool-hdd/pve, it is still a separate filesystem that is just happening to be mounted on top of another already mounted ZFS pool...
As you already expected, the backup jobs will fail as the storage (in this case the pbs datastores) are unavailable. Would this post [1] of another forum member be a solution to your problem?

This is the normal behavior and there currently is no feature that I'm aware of to stay logged in between browser sessions.
The session expires whenever the session is dropped, i.e. when the browser is closed. This happens on the client side, so even though I won't advise this, if your browser...
Welcome to the forum, pzamora!
The Proxmox forum is English only, so that more people can help you and benefit from solutions to posts, if they have a similar problem.
The message you see on the "Snapshots" page is pointing out that the container is stored on a storage, which does not support...
Welcome to the forum, Sam Burgess!
It would be interesting to have more information about the use cases you are referring to, because it is very dependent on how you want to use Proxmox VE. For example, if you want to be able to do live migration between nodes in a cluster, where the servers...
Yes, this is unfortunately the case for many (consumer-grade) mainboards. It would be helpful to know which exact mainboard you use, but if everything works correctly and you're not experiencing any WiFi connection drops or issues with that hardware, I would refrain from changing the DSDT as...
@crc-error-79 If you could, it would be still interesting to me what error you exactly had on your machine. It would be best to start a new thread (feel free to @ me directly ;)) with some information what packages (including pve-manager) were updated (post the output of e.g. cat...
Welcome to the forum, nadin!
Have you already found a solution to your problem? If not, it would be helpful to have the log just before the the system has rebooted. As your attached reboot log shows that it happened on Sep 17 04:44:38, you can either gather the log before the reboot with...
Have you already solved the problem? If not, it seems like that your DNS cannot resolve the domain name. How have you setup your DNS (cat /etc/resolv.conf)? Can you reach the DNS server by pinging it?
It seems like that the S.M.A.R.T. disk monitoring daemon hasn't noticed the change in hardware. As far as I know, Dell iDRAC has its own email alerting system that you could setup instead of running smartmontools over it, because the hardware RAID will abstract away the underlying disks anyway...
Have these errors appeared recently or have they been there since installation? What kernel version are you running (sudo uname -r)? Are you running the latest BIOS firmware image (e.g. check your mainboard vendor's homepage for updates)?
