Problem: web interface not working when installing with options 'linux maxroot'

This issue still exists. I was able to trace it better. It relates to SSL certificates and browsers caching it. So, I'm no expert on SSL and how browsers use it but whenever I reinstalled Proxmox - it essentially created new SSL certificates. So when I visit the site again <ip address>:8006 the...

    Zabbix-agent Installation

Yes, that worked actually. So I had to run 'aptitude update' & 'aptitude full-upgrade' first, then reboot, then another 'aptitude update' before I was able to see any packages properly. Would not expect that... Thanks!

Problem: web interface not working when installing with options 'linux maxroot'

I'm installing the latest proxox (3.1) on a clean server. When I install it as-is there are no issues and the web interface is working once the install process is done and I reboot. However, when I set special parameters 'linux maxroot=20' it goes through the installation successfully but the...

Minimum requirements for High Availability for OpenVZ - Clarification Needed

Thanks Dietmar. So, if I want to build a Proxmox cluster with strictly OpenVZ contsiners, do I need a NAS/SAN?

Minimum requirements for High Availability for OpenVZ - Clarification Needed

First, I'm a big fan - thanks for the great work. I'm currently using a small cluster of proxmox 1.9 and looking to move my setup to a high availability with PVE 2.1. I'm using both KVM and OpenVZ but I don't really need or prefer any one over the other. When I read your WIKI for HA Cluster it...

Is it possible to create an OpenVZ template from a running CentOS VM with DAB?

The documentation does not clearly say one way or another. Is it possible? I have a well modified CentOS 5.5 amd64 that I would like to create a template from. Thanks!

Dell OpenManage Server Admin on PVE host

I was finally able to make this thing work. After updating all the firmware all around (BIOS and SAS Controller) and installing the debian. I used the OMSA offered by the sara repository. Now here is the trick you can only use the really old OMSA ver 5.5 with debian. That is the only one that...

    CentOS 64bit

I would like to see a clean and up to date CentOS x64 bit applicance for the OpenVZ and the KVM. That would save a ton of time. Thanks!

Dell OpenManage Server Admin on PVE host

Ah, ok. I just figured it out. I tried to install the newer OpenManage, version 6 and it does not work. If you revert back to version 5.5 it works. However, I am still not able to see my storage controller which is the reason I installed this to begin this. Any ideas anyone?

Dell OpenManage Server Admin on PVE host

Ok, I got everything installed properly except I cannot see the website at the https://<IP>:1311/ any ideas? Also, do you think the Dell OMSA will work if I try to install it inside an OpenVZ container?

Dell OpenManage Server Admin on PVE host

Tom, 1. I did not blame you for this. I said "why is it so hard for OMSA to get installed on Debian". 2. I am very grateful for your PVE offering as I mentioned before it is great and nothing less. 3. All I am saying is that I wish that you have chosen CentOS as your linux flavor of choice for...

Dell OpenManage Server Admin on PVE host

This is getting to be maddening. I love your PVE offering but if I cannot get a simple reading of the RAID hardware it may not work for me. Why is it SO HARD to install Dell OpenManage on a Debian Linux? I just wish you have chosen CentOS...
