I'm just not able to update or get to the repository from proxmox, everything else is working fine so far.
any help or suggestions.

It seems like there are problems accessing the Debian repositories too. Could you provide more information on your network setup? Are you using any kind of proxy?

Hello,
you might switch to IPv4. That IPv6 address from above does not answer a standard "ping"-request...

Best regards

Edited for clarification:2a04:4e42:2c::644 does answer "ping6". 2607:5300:203:7dc2::162 does not...

access on port 80 is open, ping requests were blocked by firewall as not needed for accessing the repo.

I assume its local network issues, as also Debian mirrors cannot be accessed.

Other forum members reported recently that their firewall had some IP blocks, preventing access.

Oh! Sorry for misinterpreting that behavior without further examination - and thanks for clarification! (I am old-school: when a system does not reply on "ping" I'm simply considering it dead...)

Best regards

This is usually not a server issue, since this is a content delivery network and therefore usually is not down.
Everytime I had the missing Release file reported, it was a local network issue ...
