hey guys i have got the followring problem by installing proxmox:

pveversion -v says:

pve-manager: 1.8-18 (pve-manager/1.8/6070)
running kernel: 2.6.32-5-amd64
pve-kernel-2.6.32-4-pve: 2.6.32-33
qemu-server: 1.1-30
pve-firmware: not correctly installed
libpve-storage-perl: 1.0-17
vncterm: 0.9-2
vzctl: 3.0.27-1pve1
vzdump: 1.2.6-1
vzprocps: 2.0.11-2
vzquota: 3.0.12-3

How can I fix it?

I've installed Debian 6.0 - minimal - 64bit and after it I changed the

sources.list with some entries to download proxmox

then i installed
apt-get install proxmox-ve-2.6.32

and configurated the network and i can't connect to the webinterfaces so i looked everything up ....

thank u for ur help ;)

regards :)

Proxmox VE 1.x series is based on Lenny, don´t install it on Squeeze. The upcoming Proxmox VE 2.x series will be based on Squeeze.

What Tom meant is that they won't give you any support for your configuration. So don't expect any anwers :-)

Having said that, I was able to install Proxmox 1.8 on Debian 6.0 (and software raid 1). I am not really an expert, but the "Lenny" instructions were easy enough. You probably overlooked something or maybe a typo somewhere. I noticed that the system seemed to worked, but I problem with shutting down VMs (I had to reboot the host quite a few times). For a "learning Proxmix" environment it was good enough, but for anything serious I would wait for Proxmox 2.0.
