@sokritech Yes it works - when we remove an LV it gets cleaned and space is release
but :
- snapshot are sometime impacted because of the time to remove them,
- The issue seems to have been fixed but we don't know which release has the patch...
Hello.
New to Proxmox and and have been experimenting with various approaches and creating and deleting VE:s for a while.
I have two questions:
1.
I now have a setup that works so I would really like to make sure I understand and have the disk...
Dear Community,
Is anyone here using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to fully automate Proxmox infrastructure with Ansible—not just running occasional playbooks manually, but as a complete CI/CD automation stack?
I’m trying to understand the...
mhmm can you try to open a `journalctl -f` or `dmesg -w` on the host while trying to boot the vm so you can see the messages live when it starts to hang (could also work over ssh, but directly on the machine would be best) maybe there can be seen...
I *was* about to post '"yep, it's fine" but I spoke too soon. I swear I was able to boot the VM yesterday just fine, but now it's back to hanging the Proxmox box when I try.
lspci -nnk shows:
02:00.0 SATA controller [0106]: ASMedia Technology...
Thanks Aaron, thanks Longer,
That's exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping for when I posted.
PVE Mirror now has its own subsection now under Related Proxmox software, next to PBS, PMG and PDM. I also added a line to the history section...
Hi,
thanks, that makes sense and also matches what we are currently seeing.
We will continue working with Dell in parallel. We already have an active support case open with them regarding the ME5224 performance and iSCSI behaviour.
Proxmox...
usb hotplug is implemented since quite a while..
if it does not work for you, can you post your vm config (qm config ID) and versions (pveversion -v) ?
Is there anything planned to allow USB hotplug? We use this quite a bit for attaching license dongles to VMs, and having to reboot the VM for a USB unplug/plug change feels like 1995.
And if this hinders live-migration this is totally...
Hi @mf_2
thanks for posting on the forum!
For reference on the "maybe" of pve8to9:

In short for...
Might be possible - so far I haven't found any bug report on SUSEs side with regards to Longhorn + PVE + freezing.
For me it works the way that I kill the VM which hangs and restart it manual.
Migrating to Ceph would be out of scope as I only...
Hmm, I see! Thanks for the update. That's very interesting.
My main guess is that Longhorn really does not play nice with filesystem freezes and always expects the disks it manages to respond within a certain time frame. I mean, quite obvious it...
@waynej - I'm kind of curious - with your context history / session with claude, can you get it to review the last lot of commits to mmu.c in the 7.2 branch and see if it believes they may be related / some correlation between them?
I'm curious...
Looking at your /etc/network/interfaces on the node, there is a conflicting configuration on vmbr0: you declared both inet dhcp and a static IP address 192.168.1.100/24.
You should define vmbr0 as static only:
auto vmbr0
iface vmbr0 inet static...
Hello,
I am running a PVE cluster with 3 nodes. Each node has a statically configured IPv6 address. When I set it up, I was able to ping across the cluster to another node from the WebUI host console no problem. But today when I was doing...
LOL, as I mentioned before, to avoid megaraid_sas driver drama, get a Dell HBA330 (which are cheap to get and uses the LSI3008 chip) which is a true IT/HBA-mode controller. Flash with latest Dell firmware. It uses the much simpler mpt3sas...
