I'm sorry, I am not sure what you mean by "after loading the vendor-reset module but before starting the VM." How do I load the vendor reset module?
The output of modprobe vendor-reset is
modprobe: FATAL: Module vendor-reset not found in...
Hi Moayad — image-level results below. Short version: you nailed it. The image itself benches dramatically worse than a scratch image on the same pool, especially in single-thread small/medium I/O.

When you migrate the VM to another node, the new node is freshly starting the kvm instance (with the new pve-qemu-kvm version) - in fact it is also freshly "booting" the VM - as if it were just now booting - just the state (incl. RAM) has been...
I just wondered about this and had these thoughts:
When I migrate a VM from pve-node-1 to pve-node-2 it (and pve-node-2 has the patch) the patch will be applied and the problem is fixed without rebooting the VM from proxmox. Why cant proxmox...
AFAIK, that is perfectly normal - as the new pve-qemu-kvm will only be applied on a host restart of the kvm, not internally by a VM reboot, which technically does not restart the kvm host-side.
Wenn die Zertifikate nicht vor Ablauf erneuert werden, können sie danach nicht mehr aktualisiert werden. Wie auch - es gibt dann ja keine gültigen Zertifikate mehr, die die neuen installierbar und verifizierbar machen.
This makes debugging harder because the Proxmox host console no longer works. You also don't need this when vendor-reset works. Please undo this.
Run the command on the Proxmox host after a reboot, after loading the vendor-reset module but...
Hello
i have a few proxmox servers and when i go to the console i just see Loading... and on linux i can interact with the console but not if the vm is windows..
here is PVEVersion:
pveversion -v
Up to Qemu 11, the only option is “Disabled.” Without hardware acceleration, performance will likely drop significantly.

Well I think power state issue is potentially a red herring because the devices have dropped off the PCI bus and I can't get them back without restarting the whole system. Maybe the problem is that the power state WAS changed initially and it...
@fiona Thanks for that - I see pve-qemu-kvm-10.2.1-2 in pve-test as of time of writing.
I had 2 updates on my test lab whether or not the other one is applicable to this bug or just coincidence wouldn't know.
For those that used workaround from...

@martin_comp Yes, the issue affects IO delay (the name for iowait in the UI) too.
A fix was applied in git master and the new pve-qemu-kvm=10.2.1-2 package is currently going through internal testing.
I'm new to Proxmox and networking so apologize if I'm not using correct vernacular and if this is the wrong forum. Tinkering with all of this to teach myself something new.
I tried to install nginx and did some other cleanup of my PVE and found...
