Kingneutron, thanks for the suggestion but this is not an option.
So far the best strategy appears to be a script that monitors space left on the thin pool 10 times per second.
And if the space remaining goes below a certain threshold for a...
After upgrading a cluster to PVE9.1 from 9.0, it seems to have broken my login to any of the nodes.
It seems I can briefly log in post node boot, but soon after I cannot.
I have seen the same issue some time ago with older PVE versions in older...
Yes, reconfigure network seems really common here, no problem.
But missing hard disks was new to me, however it was easy to solve:
Just open the Windows Disk Manager and activate the disks, then everything is back! ☺️
You need to add only a cluster, and then all the nodes of the cluster appear. If you add each node of the cluster to PDM you may have duplicated (or x 3or x5 depending on the number of nodes) VM in PDM
Thanks for this tip, I'm running HomeAssitant in a vm on my PVE node and have installed PBS on an Intel NUC unit.
When I ran before the backups of the vm locally on the PVE as snapshot this went fine.
Since I do this to the PBS as snapshot the vm...
In case it is useful for anyone else, after switching my backup mode from "Snapshot" to "Suspend" seems to have done the trick and the particular VM's are now more stable.
I had the same issue with PDM 1.0.0, but only when accessing from a specific client. The reason for this was that the time on the client was about 10 seconds ahead of PDM. After the time server configured on the client was corrected, it worked...

Hi,
For deduplication YMMV, for example, if I look at our PBS, it's pretty good with more than 90% of Linux VMs (more than 60% of these Linux machines are Debian), and retention from 14 to 365 days.
We have critical VMs which backups run every...
Ich habe für pvreate die /dev/mapper/WWID benutzt.
Zwischenstand: Ich kann jetzt auch von der SAN booten. Habe nochmal ein paar FC von der Switch zur SAN gelegt. Zoning auf der Switch eingestellt.

If I add all pve cluster nodes to pdm as remotes, the amount of VM's is multiplied by the number of pve nodes, is this the normal bahaviour? I would expect, each VM only will be counted once.
So just like my other guide, this is more for my own records so I can come back and refer to it.
I know there are scripts for these things, but I prefer doing them manually so I can learn along the way.
Maybe it can help someone else in the...
