ZFS backup solution with email report

Hi, i need some advice on what are you using for backupping zfs storage.

I'm using znapzend for snapshotting on local storage and sending to external USB and is working fine, but it has no report if snapshot on usb fail. I've made a simple script that check the last snapshot date on USB, but i think there must be a better way of doing this.

I've searched accross the forum but i haven't found concrete solution

That's a good way to go. I'm using similar stuff, but backup to dedicated backup machine and wrote a similar check than yours for icinga to inform me if something has not been backuped for some predefined time.
