Will Proxmox provide Rsync access for the public repository (download.proxmox.com)?

First, thanks to Proxmox GmbH for developing this wonderful open-source virtualization solution. I know of multiple universities and non-profits providing mirror for Proxmox repositories, and we're currently using lftp(1) to sync content via HTTP, which frequently causes de-sync. If Proxmox provides Rsync access for download.proxmox.com, this problem solves directly.

Is Proxmox willing to help out the open-source & mirror community by establishing Rsync service?

Trying to give this idea a bump. Given that Proxmox Offline Mirror tool is out, Rsync seems the best choice for it.

there are no plans for this at the moment as far as I know. to mirror an APT repository (correctly), you need to do partial syncs in the right order and have some safety checks built-in, or have a way to synchronize mirroring and repository updates, no matter whether you are using rsync or plain HTTP to transfer the files.
