On one proxmox installed from the downloaded ISO: I get version 4.1-1 and no matter how many times I run apt-get update the version won't budge.
On the other server I installed from a Debian 8 Jessie Base and get version 4.1-22.
Why the disparity? Even when using the same apt sources as the server on 4.1-22 can I get the same version on the ISO installed server.
Could someone shed some light on the issue?
OK on the ISO installed version uname -a gets me:
Linux xxx 4.2.6-1-pve #1 SMP Wed Dec 9 10:49:55 CET 2015 x86_64 GNU/Linux
On the debian base version uname -a gets me:
Linux xxx 4.2.8-1-pve #1 SMP Sat Mar 19 10:44:29 CET 2016 x86_64 GNU/Linux
So the debian based version has a more up to date kernel and probably why the packages are different. But why?
