Proxmox provides us with ability to enter IP on the ethernet adapter. But while connecting that to a Linux Bridge it will complain that the ethernet adapter has IP settings. What is the use of setting IP directly on Proxmox adapter?

I have generally seen IP being applied to the Linux bridge.

Thank You.

I only way I found it useful, is to have the eth Network adapter with IP connect to a Linux Bond, which is then used to create Linux Bridge. There are 2 layers of network virtualization now. I do not know if it serves any purpose.

I guess you mean in the web interface under <Node> > System > Network?
It depends very much on your general usecase and setup, but e.g. for Corosync interfaces, the address is/should also be configured directly on the physical interface.

Ok, this not done on the Web UI, but via shell right.
