WAL disks

Hi, colleagues, I need your advice.

We're planning to move WAL logs from HDDs to separate SSDs.
We have a question: is there a big difference between using SATA-III or SAS SSDs?
SAS is 24GB/s
SATA-III 6GB/s

Our HDDs are Seagate SAS 10Tb Enterprise Capacity Exos 7E10 12Gb/s 256MB.
SAS drives vary greatly in price.
Will SATA drives be useful for cache?
