Very slow connection speed with wireless RTL8812AE

This card is transplanted from a desktop running Windows 10, have previously gotten speeds of ~150Mb/s.
On Proxmox getting around 6Mb/s. Configured using the wpa_supplicant instructions on the wiki.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Happy to post more information, just need to know what's useful.

It greatly depends on the driver support in Linux. You may need to install additional firmware as well.
