When I execute the command qm start 103 via the terminal on PVE 7.3-3 I get the following error message:

Use of uninitialized value $path in pattern match (m//) at /usr/share/perl5/PVE/QemuServer.pm line 1622.

The message started appearing after I the upgrade from PVE 7.2 to PVE 7.3-3.

Please help.

Hi,

Can you post the output of pveversion? Please put the output in

tags to preserve the output's formatting.

Ah sorry, that was missing a "--verbose". Should have been pveversion --verbose.

Hi,

thanks, yeah seems like I can reproduce this one. Does the VM start for you after that message, though?

Yeah this is due to the fact that you have a cdrom drive configured that is based on a physical cdrom drive of your system. I'm guessing your system doesn't have a cdrom drive and, hence, the path backing this drive isn't being set as expected. If you remove the CD drive from your VM, the error should go away. I'll see if we can add a more informative error message here.
