Good afternoon, all!
I'm looking into ProxMox as a sandbox and dev platform, coming from a VMware/Nutanix background.
I set up VE on an old laptop and it's working OK as far as it goes. I added a 500 GB USB drive to the laptop dock and mounted the filesystem on /mnt/usb01, then installed a Windows VM onto that, using only 160 GB. However, when I try to set up a second Debian VM, the creation fails, throwing an error " unable to create image: 'storage-USB'-locked command timed out - aborting." I sort of gather the VM creation is hanging up because the first Windows VM is maybe locking out the USB drive and not allowing another VM to use it? There's a file structure under /mnt/usb01 that seems to separate the VM virtual disks, but nothing from the second VM is showing in the filestructure.
What am I missing?
Thanks to all for looking!
