Hi guys,

I'm new to proxmox, just installed it but I'm unable to access the web admin portal (https://192.168.1.1:8006). Some additional details:
  • i can ping the server
  • Capture d’écran 2024-04-10 à 23.50.17.png
  • I can ssh to the server
  • the web portal does seem to be active and bound to the tcp 8006 socket
  • Capture d’écran 2024-04-10 à 23.38.55.png

  • I took a wireshark trace and can see the SYN originating from my laptop (10.10.80.102) but no SYN ACK from the server(192.168.1.1)
  • Capture d’écran 2024-04-10 à 23.42.38.png
I also used several browsers to no avail. Has anyone ever encounted such a problem ?

Do you really have multi subnet network in your home/lab? I.e. some hosts are on 10.10.80.0/x and others are on 192.168.1.0/x ?
Its unusual to give a non-router node an address of 192.168.1.1, generally its reserved for routers.

I suggest that you take another look at your network layout, check your "ip a", check your routers/gateways, confirm MTUs, duplicate IPs.

You can check whether PVE web services are functioning by using "curl" directly on the PVE host:
curl -sk https://localhost:8006
cutl -sk https://192.168.1.1:8006

If you get html output, then the issue is in your network.
