Unable to cluster, loses connection

So going to preface here that I am entirely new to PVE. I have something similar but also very hands-off at work called Scale that made me want to jump into this adventure as many others in my sector have also been moving to PVE so I ultimately wanted to get more acquainted.

Background: I do have a small homelab that consists of two Unraid servers.

To my actual issue! I have loaded PVE onto the servers themselves utilizing a 2TB SSD that is installed. Only thing I have done is running a Proxmox Helper script that, from my understanding, came very well recommended. I allowed it to correct the repos, disable the enterprise license nag as well as updating the systems.

These both seem to run fine, I go to the cluster screen of Node#1, create cluster and it does its thing rather quickly in seconds. Close that screen, open the Cluster Information button and copy. Go to node#2, join cluster, paste and then it goes to crap. UI of Node#2 stops responding, it doesn't fully come into Node#1 either and Node#1 now only sees itself as a standalone node but won't show cluster info and won't let me create a cluster again either.

I have 4 machines ultimately that will be joined into the environment ultimately, long term.

I am sure there is something I am missing or I am messing up horribly. Can someone help get me back on the straight and narrow?

Attached are some screen snips of what I have been seeing.

Those scripts are not provided or support by Proxmox and we don't know what it does. Can you start again without running third-party scripts? Or ask support from the maintainers of that script instread?
... disable the enterprise license nag ...
This is considered rude on the official Proxmox forum. I has also broken stuff before. Please don't do this before asking for support here.

Please provide the network configuration (/etc/network/interfaces and /etc/hosts) of both nodes. Maybe you skipped https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#_preparing_nodes and did not put the IP addresses for all nodes in /etc/hosts on all nodes before joining?

Yes, I will try to do that tonight and do a fresh install (nothing on the bare units other than just the OS

Simply because you took the time to point this out: Noted.

Both machines are set to single NICs (only have one port available each), single IP configured (Node#1 - 10.10.10.25, Node#2 10.10.10.26). I did skip putting them in the hosts as the directions said it was not necessary for it to work.

Edit: This is literally from memory, I can get the actual config text if you prefer when I get home or can notate as I proceed through initial config later this evening.
