Hello ,
I am a beginner in the use of the environment proxmox .

I am trying to install this tape drive LTO6 HP 6250 with a card LSI SATA / SAS 9212-4i4e .

I see a possible in internet, There is a package to install .

Can you help ?

This tape should work out of the box.

If not, please describe your problem in detail.
 
I have create VM in windows 2008 Servers R2 .

My problem is the not see the material in my VM.

how can I check if my card LSI is correct in my datacenter and my node ?
 
So you want to pass-through your tape to a windows VM.?

This can work but in fact, this is a not recommended or supported configuration.

Hi,
I've tried to passthrough an LTO-Jukebox years ago without success (but don't remember if the lto-drives or the sg-device had the trouble).
It's end, that I use the pve-host directly as storage-daemon and the backup-software inside a VM. Thanks to OpenSource (Bareos) this works well.

But I guess with your windows software this will don't help you much...

I create CT and save CT in LTO .

What is the best method for save data ?
