Hello Proxmox community,

I am new in Proxmox, I have migrated from Vmware and I have problem with suddenly loosing connection.

I have 16 virtuals on FreeBSD with e1000 NIC. I have tried both linux bridge and OVS Bridge with same problem (it looks that OVS is better).

But on the same virtuals I have problem with connection. NIC are up, routing tables ok, nothing in log on virtual, nothing in log (meaning messages and dmesg) on proxmox machine, but network is down.

What I should check or tunne?

Thank you
Darius

I am not a network expert and don't play one on TV, but perhaps check that the container is correctly binded to a specific Proxmox vmbrX interface. For example, if the Proxmox vmbr0 is using 192.168.25.0/24 then the container should be configured to use vmbr0 with an IP address in that same subnet. Also check that the container is using the correct gateway IP address for that assignment (for example, 192.168.25.1). If the configuration is correct then the host and guest should be able to ping each other. You shared that the routing tables are OK so possibly that is not the problem.

It really looks, that is down layer between proxmox and virtual host. If i try tcpdump, nothing is captured.
I have another 14 servers on the same proxmox, without problem, but once freeze network on the other one. But I thought It was my fault - was not.
