Stopped start failed: QEMU exited with code 1

Hi everyone, I am having an issue exiting with code 1....here is the message:

kvm: warning: host doesn't support requested feature: CPUID.01H:ECX.sse4.2 [bit 20]
kvm: warning: host doesn't support requested feature: CPUID.01H:ECX.popcnt [bit 23]
kvm: warning: host doesn't support requested feature: CPUID.01H:ECX.aes [bit 25]
kvm: Host doesn't support requested features
TASK ERROR: start failed: QEMU exited with code 1

Can any body help me?

this means that your host CPU does not support certain feature required by the virtual CPU type you selected for the VM. In Proxmox VE 8, the default is x86-64-v2 which essentially all (server) CPUs from the last 10+ years should support. If yours doesn't, select a different CPU type like qemu64 or host for the VM. I selected CPU type as the host. It is successfully work.

Can i Please get help. Every time i try to start up my VM i says 'TASK ERROR: start failed: QEMU exited with code 1'

Hi, have you changed something in your systems BIOS?
When I had this issue, it was due to a minor change, wich i made in my BIOS. Or did you change anything else like your Proxmox configuration?

you are trying to start a VM configured to use a CPU type that requires features (AESNI) that your physical CPU doesn't have. change the CPU type, then it should start.
