Hello!

My gc job is taking really long.
I started the prune job on 6th of February (took less than 1 day) and started gc job on 7th of feb.
Now the gc is at 50% (on phase1).
I'm still on 1.0.6 (because on February 1.0.8 wasn't released) .

Is there a way to speedup this job?
My storage is getting really near to be full (95% out of 80TB) - so can I partly start the gc manually to start deleting the first "old backups"?

best regards

GC needs to iterate over all snapshot indices, and then over all chunks. this is mainly a metadata heavy operation - so tuning your storage to make those operations faster should help (e.g., more metadata caching, ZFS special vdevs, ..). there is no such thing a a partial GC - phase1 needs to be completed before it can delete any chunks, as without a complete phase1 it's impossible to tell which chunks are "garbage".
