So I have this Nextcloud (snap installed) exclusive VM which used to have 200GB and it filled up pretty quickly, then I decided to add another 100GB to it and even after rebooting Ubuntu Server doesn't mount the new 100GB assigned to it. I'm pretty much of a noob when it comes to this, how can I add the new 100GB to the existing sda?

Here is the response to the command lsblk when I enter it:

Hello @pedropithan, welcome to the forum.

You've shown us what the VM sees, but not the VM’s configuration itself.

You mentioned that you originally had a 200GB disk - and your output indeed shows a 200GB partition with a root filesystem on it.

You also said you added a new 100GB disk. However, the output doesn’t show a new 100GB disk. Instead, the disk occupied by root filesystem appears to be 300GB in total.

This strongly suggests that rather than adding a second disk, you expanded the existing 200GB disk by 100GB.

If that’s the case, you’ll still need to expand the partition and filesystem within the VM to take advantage of the additional space.

There are plenty of guides available online to walk you through that process. For example:
https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/6086/ubuntu-20-04-how-to-extend-partition-for-noobs

The general search terms you're looking for are:
linux expand disk partition filesystem

Cheers.
