Smartctl: advice on bad sectors

Hi,

I'm receiving one mail almost each hour from my pbs instance, saying

If I run smartctl -a /dev/sda (it's the zfs disk with the OS on)

How to properly debug the drive and/or silence the mail if everything is actually ok?
