SMART error (SelfTest) detected on host: pve

Hello,

I am new to proxmox and SMART. I setup automated SMART Tests, short tests run daily and Long tests run monthly.

I got a couple emails from pve about the test this morning which I assume is from the LONG test...

When I checked out the the drive in question on the pve GUI it says that it PASSED.

I am running a this drive as part of a 6 Disk RAIDZ2 pool that is passthrough to a TrueNAS VM I do not see any warnings on my pool.

Is this something I should be worried about? Is there something I can do to clear/ fix this error?

I recommend that you perform regular backups and ensure you have a replacement hard disk available. Replace it as soon as it starts showing more errors.

I replaced the disk, and did a fill wipe on it writing all 0's on the diskthrough TrueNAS . When I ran a couple of the LONG SMART tests again I got no errors.

This caught my eye.
4 of 4 failed self-tests are outdated by newer successful extended offline self-test # 3
Is there a way to clear SMART test resuts?

Can these errors be fixed my themselves when I wiped and wr-wrote to the disk?

Yes, some errors can be fixed by rewriting (and the drive controller remapping the sector to available spares).
Your drive uses SMR and is therefore not suitable for ZFS, which might also give errors even though the drive is fine.
