Slow Upload on Host

Hello,

We have a few HP DL360s running VE 6.1-3.

When I run speed tests on the hosts, or VMs, via "speedtest-cli", I consistently get around 100Mbps down (which matches our pipe) but only 4Mbps up.

I cannot for the life of me narrow down the issue.

Other machines I plug into the same physical ports on the switch get 100/100 through the same speedtest.

This is very noticable locally as well, as we have a local separate Ceph cluster.

Any ideas?

Hmm - I recall there was an issue with speedtest-cli and Ubuntu kernels (on which PVE kernels are based on) - https://github.com/sivel/speedtest-cli/issues/605

Could you try measuring the bandwidth using iperf/iperf3 ?

Ah thank you, I will try that out. That said, are you able to confirm you see similar bandwidth issues with speedtest-cli?
