Server Crash after running Graphics Card stress test with passthrough

Hi,

I've been experiencing issues with my config lately. The problem seems to appear when I use the VM (Macosx) to run a game or a stress test (I used Unigine Heaven to replicate the issue experienced with games).

The tests runs for a minute or so, then the server completely reboots.

I am unsure which log messages I should look for, but I looked both into var/log/messages and var/log/systlog without seeing anything significant. Please feel free to tell me which I should outpost here.

Video card and VM work fine when playing back regular things (4K youtube videos, netflix, regular usage of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator... always on and running hours on end) and only seems to show this behavior under load (games or benchmark test), but overheating didn't seem to be the cause (I could be wrong, but I've experienced times where the card was very hot without any running issue, and on the other end Unigine Heaven crashed even when the card was only starting to heat up).

It sounds like a hardware issue, likely the power supply (?) but I thought I would ask here as maybe someone has an idea how to identify the source further (I'd rather not have to unplug everything and RMA my powersupply before knowing it is the reason).

Below are some specs and config:

- MOBO: Gigabyte Aorus Master
- CPU: i9-9900K
- GPU: AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition (passthrough to my Mac VM)
- RAM: 64GB G-skill Trident-Z (32GB allocated to the VM)
- PSU: Corsair RMi Series RM1000i (1000w)

Proxmox 5.4
VM: Macos Mojave 10.14.4

VM: Macos Mojave 10.14.4
we do not really support macos, but can you post the vm config? (qm config ID)
also does 'dmesg' show anything interesting during the crash?
you can start it in follow mode with 'dmesg -w' on a terminal to get the output during a crash

It sounds like a hardware issue, likely the power supply (?)
could be, but for this the only way to know, is to test with another power supply
