Hi, thanks for any help and comments in advance.
I am using InfluxDB and Grafana to visualize server metrics.
While using a standardized type of installation, the Proxmox host has different FQDN pve.x1.domain.local and pve.x2.domain.local etc. but the short name is always only "pve".
While I don't want to use different buckets in InfluxDB, now all my metrics from all pve servers are mixed together and can't be checked seperately.
Normaly you could send a different hostname for metric but I can't find a config label to di this.
-
So here are my questions:
1. Can I change the hostname while sending metrics to InfluxDB from the built-in metric sender?
2. Should I use telegraf instead while built-in is only a subset from telegraf?
Thanks for help to get the right setup
Cheers
Tom
