Hallo,

Vielen Dank..

Mike

Hi,

using a cluster in HA (with CEPH) is not recomended when latency between the hosts is higher than ~2-3ms (corosync being quite sensitive about that) afaik.

But if the 2nd brandabschnitt is really "close", a HA cluster works great, without the need of an additional replication. Then you would simply backup the VMs to an external device in the 3rd brandabschnitt (what could be a NFS share on a 4th independend proxmox server not being member of the cluster).

If the first two brandabschnitts are getting too high latency between the hosts, you would create a cluster without HA - and then replication to the second host e.g. every 15 min. would make sense, fail-over in conclusion would be manually launching the VM on the other node of the cluster.
