Hey,

i have Backups for 2 weeks now and i want to delete Backups older than 7 Days, my Prune Settings are the following:

When i start the Garbage Collection, i get:

Removed garbage: 0 B
Removed chunks: 0

What i am understanding and doing wrong?

Thanks :)

did you run a prune before the garbage collection?

I did:
Code:
proxmox-backup-client prune vm/113 --keep-last 200 --repository backups

then:
Code:
proxmox-backup-client garbage-collect --repository backups

and got:
Code:
Removed garbage: 0 B
Removed chunks: 0

I had about 500 Backups of the same VM.

On the GUI i see now:

But not less free Storage. Are they really deleted?

please read the docs I linked.. garbage collection will only remove chunks after more than 24h have passed since removing/pruning the last index referencing them.

no. just wait a day..

Is that somehow on the agenda? It would be nice to be able to release the space manually.
thats not so easy, we rely on the atime update behaviour for garbage collect...
