I converted from no-subscription to a community license but now I have a configuration issue.

python3-ceph-common is now orphaned in my apt repo and I can not remove it because of many dependancies.

Does anyone else have this issue or a suggestion for fixing it?

Did you change the Proxmox VE repo from the no-subscription repository to the enterprise one?

Yes I changed from the no-subscription to the enterprise one. I also removed the no-subscription repo for the backup-server as I tested it for a bit.

I'm not sure what caused this orphaned library but I'm worried it will cause issues in the future.

Do you also have a Ceph Repo configured?

I just checked on my machine and according to
Code:
apt-cache policy python3-ceph-common
python3-ceph-common:
  Installed: 16.2.7
  Candidate: 16.2.7
  Version table:
 *** 16.2.7 500
        500 http://download.proxmox.com/debian/ceph-pacific bullseye/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     16.2.6-pve2 500
        500 http://download.proxmox.com/debian/ceph-pacific bullseye/main amd64 Packages
     16.2.5-pve1 500
        500 http://download.proxmox.com/debian/ceph-pacific bullseye/main amd64 Packages
     16.2.4-pve1 500
        500 http://download.proxmox.com/debian/ceph-pacific bullseye/main amd64 Packages
it should be provided by the Proxmox Ceph repository.

No I do not. Should I? I'm not running ceph. Not sure where this came from.

apt-cache policy python3-ceph-common
python3-ceph-common:
Installed: 15.2.15-pve1
Candidate: 15.2.15-pve1
Version table:
*** 15.2.15-pve1 100
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I checked the situation against a freshly installed Proxmox VE. And yep, the installer will install it, but the only repository where you can updates for it, is from the Ceph repo. So if you don't need Ceph, why not just leave it there?
If you want to get updates for it, configure the Ceph repo. Does not mean that you need to install a Ceph cluster but Proxmox VE can connect to a Ceph cluster, which is why it does come with some basic Ceph packages.
