[SOLVED] PVE Backups Question

Hello, I am having a strange issue with VM backups direct from PVE. I have configured the backup jobs under Datacenter->Backups, going to an SMB share. My backup storage is running low, so I ran a Prune on each of the VM's to free up space. I can see that the extra restore points have been removed from the UI, but the storage has not been freed up. Searching around suggests that I should run garbage collection, but that only appears to be an option for Proxmox Backup Server. Is there any way to free up that additional space using regular built-in PVE vzdump backups? Thanks!

It turns out that Recycle Bin was enabled on the NAS itself. Disabling that fixed this. Thanks for the assistance!

Perfect. Glad I could help.

You can change the first post and apply the SOLVED tag/flag or prefix (can't remember what it's called).
