ProxmoxVE OpenVZ template

Hi there,

I was wondering if there was an openvz template for ProxmoxVE itself?

I have a single physical test server which is running the baremetal proxmox ISO, and I want to setup a vm guest running proxmox so I can then test some live migrations etc

Hi,
you can't install proxmox ve inside of a container...

With nested virtualisation (on AMD) you can perhaps run an instance in a kvm-guest, but it's make no sense.
Use another cheap computer for test.

you can install Proxmox VE as a KVM guest but not as a container.

Thanks guys to both of your replies - I will do it as a KM guest.

The point of this is to then allow testing of clustering nodes, migration, shared storage etc so it makes sense rather than buying more hardware - this after all is what virtualisation is there for
