As noted in the doc, I connected the store to store2. I made a backup of VM 220 in snapshot mode. On the backup server, I received a save as in picture 1. When I go to the backup section for VM 220, the backup storage is empty. If I go to the storage store2 , I see the saves as in picture 2, but I cannot restore them. What am I doing wrong ?

What's the error you get when trying to restore the VM?
Also please provide the output of pveversion -v as well as proxmox-backup-manager versions --verbose

no error. I just press the restore button and nothing happens. Perhaps this is due to the fact that my ProxMox VE 3.6.3 does not know PBS type of storage as for some reason.

Yes, of course I ran the command on the Proxmox backup server ;) here is the full listing. Unfortunately, I did not find the "version" there.

Perhaps the problem is related to this. VM 220 is on "that" PVE.

I have Backup Server 1.0-1, downloaded yesterday from official site ... What version more fresh?

Take a look at the docs: https://pbs.proxmox.com/docs/
There you find instructions on how to configure the pbs-no-subscription repository if you don't have a subscription.
Afterwards it is as simple as running apt update followed by apt full-upgrade and a reboot.
