We are trying to create kvm vms using templates. Please suggest exact way to add kvm templates and create vm using template. we can only see iso option to create vms

you can convert an existing VM to a template, and then you can clone it.

We already know this way. We wanted OS kvm templates like solusvm so that, end user can re-install or create new vm from It.

Does proxmox not support KVM templates ?

you (or "the end user") can create a new VM from a template by cloning - but you need to prepare the template yourself before creating it (remove SSH keys, install scripts that run some kind of setup on first boot or use configuration management, ...). we don't provide ready-made templates for KVM

i think you don't understand my issue. we already have kvm templates but there is no option to select kvm template during vm creation only showing iso option please check attached image

Hi,
your starting point is wrong.

Mark the template and select Clone (right mouse click). Not realy difficult

But the question is.......How will customer / client can see that template in his / her portal. Only an Admin login has the access of all Virtual Machines and can see the converted template.

Consider we are using WHMCS API for Proxmox, so client will create the VMs from WHMCS, but to create the VM he / she can only see ISO option, so you want every client of ours to perform the installation using ISO ? client should see all listed OS templates and choose the required version and then create a VM.

We don't mind creating VMs and convert them into templates but we want our clients can see those templates / VMs to make their clone from Tenant Portal.

Kindly suggest asap.

Hi,
I have tried to access the template as "normal" user and it's not an problem - depends on the right acls.

EG. if you permit the user/group the template they can select clon.
acl was:

acl:1:/vms/106:@template:PVETemplateUser:

of course, you need more to allow creating an VM like an pool for that user/group.
