Hey guys,

I've had this problem back in 2022 but the fix that someone gave me doesn't work anymore. Also reastarting the Server doesn't change anything.
Getting the 596 broken Pipe error always happens when using a API call involving the guest agent. For Example "ap2/json/nodes/node01/qemu/101/agent/exec".
This request has worked with previous version of Proxmox just fine but now the only thing I get when calling this in my Java Application is

"HTTP/1.1 596 Broken pipe [Cache-Control: max-age=0, Connection: close, Date: Sat, 09 Dec 2023 14:55:09 GMT, Pragma: no-cache, Server: pve-api-daemon/3.0, Expires: Sat, 09 Dec 2023 14:55:09 GMT] ResponseEntityProxy{[Chunked: false]}"

As far as I know the origin of this bug/problem could not be found until today so I'm open to get involved in finding it out as good as I can.

PVEVersion looks like this (upgraded everything today, error stays..):
"pve-manager/8.1.3/b46aac3b42da5d15 (running kernel: 6.5.11-7-pve"

The verbosed edition would be this:

The command should looks like the following:

Bash:
pvesh create /nodes/node01/qemu/109/agent/exec --command "apt-get" --command "update"

Thanks - that works. But how do I have to modify my HTTP Requests then? Do I have to send "apt-get" and "update" with a request each or what? Like currently we're sending a REST API Request with the "command":"sh\u0000-c\u0000apt-get update --allow-releaseinfo-change -y && apt-get upgrade -y".

In your request you have only edit the data like `command=foo&command=bar`

Thanks for the info. Sadly this does not work out for me. Even an easy command, that now gets the format like this:
1703280849513.png
gets me the 596 Borken Pipe error. There still is no exact description of what I'm doing wrong.
The Broken Pipe Response looks exactly like this - nothing really changed.

Also changing the command to "?command=fdisk&command=/dev/sda" does not work. (like u would expect in HTTP).
Changing command to "&command=fdsik&command=/dev/sda" does not work (wouldn't have expected that tbh)
