Greetings everyone, I would like to know where I can find the ISO to install proxmox-ve_6.3-2.iso, I have checked the repository and it cannot be found. Thanks for your help.

Hi Jorge Corzo,

It is not possible to find the pve 6.3 iso instead try installing 6.4, attaching the for the same Proxmox 6.4 ISO.

If you are running a cluster with 6.3 PVE installed, i highly suggest you to update the systemts to the Latest PVE version anyway, Or atleast update to the least supported version of pve which is 6.4.

P.S- PVE 6.3 can be found somewhere on the web, but would require a lot of surfing or can be found as a torrent (which is not supported at all)

Thanks for your reply, managed to get the Proxmox VE 6.3.1 ISO on an external FTP. I understand from the last answer that it is important to update the versions and save the installation ISO in case the cluster nodes are not licensed.

indeed, proxmox 6.3 iso is missing at proxmox site at http://download.proxmox.com/iso/

why isn't that being archived/available? @proxmox team ?

what should users do who want a specific version? i think downloading from external untrusted source is not good at all.
it's quite common/normal for us system engineers/admins that we need a specific version, to be able to test something, do a repro-case, have a look for something....whatever. if a regression exists between versions or to use it for migration or historical reason. or maybe some proxmox system needs to be replaced by exaclty the same version/release

you may not guess which reasons for that do exist...

being curious...

if i would run an ancient cluster which had not been updated for while, because there was a reason for that, i would not see the point why i should upgrade to more recent version instead of re-adding/re-installing a note with the same release like the other nodes - being supportet or not.

you have those legacy environments sometimes and there is a reason, why you won't touch those.

but to be honest - i see no reason, why removal of a released version/iso from proxmox site is necessary.

for example, if i would not have had access to centos5 iso last week , i would have had a problem now. i needed that for a migration task/tool.

¿Qué deben hacer los usuarios que quieren una versión específica? Creo que la descarga desde una fuente externa que no es de confianza no es buena en absoluto.
Es bastante común/normal para nosotros los ingenieros/administradores de sistemas que necesitamos una versión específica, para poder probar algo, hacer un repro-caso, buscar algo... lo que sea. si existe una regresión entre versiones o para usar por motivos de migración o históricos. o tal vez algún sistema proxmox deba ser terminado por exactamente la misma versión/lanzamiento

Puede que no adivines qué razones existen para eso...

y recuerdo que tuve el mismo problema hace un tiempo....

After this problem arose, I got the most ISOs I could, because I am learning Proxmox and surely in the future I will provide support to several companies with old Proxmox versions. So whoever likes it just sends me an inbox and I'll send you how to download any of the following ISOs.
