I tried to install ProxMox on a Mac-Mini A1347.
2010 year model.

The installer booted up nicely, and I could do the initial setup.
However, after a while, the computer started to beep three times continuously.

Now the beep starts on every boot.
These three beeps indicates that the ram-memory is corrupt.

Anyone else experience this, installing Proxmox on the Mac-Mini, caused the ram-memory to bee corrupt?

I would be very surprised if a software installation corrupts physical memory. If the memory is faulty, it is more likely a coincidence that it happened some time after installing Proxmox VE on it.

Hi,

I would check the syslog + if possible, test the memory using `memtest86+` tool.

Thanks for your answer.

As i understands it, these beeps indicate that the ram-memory didn't pass an integrity check. I tried to clear the memory by following some advice on a forum, but no success.

In a forum, i read that this had happend during a update of ios on a Mac-Mini.

To mee it happend during the installation of ProxMox.

I agree that it seems very strange that a software installation could cause this.

But according to many posts on different forums, these beeps indicate that somehing is wrong with the ram-memory.
I have not been able to fix this in any way.

So for now, i am planing to buy some new ram-memory and after that try to install ProxMox again.
