We're excited to announce the release of Proxmox Mail Gateway 4.1!

We updated all packages, based now on Debian Wheezy 7.11. Proxmox Mail Gateway integrates two high performance and multi-threaded anti virus engines in all license editions for unlimited users: ClamAV and CYREN'S Zero-Hour Virus Outbreak Protection. Billions of emails are analyzed in real-time and this approach protect you against new outbreaks the moment they emerge.

Virtual Appliance
You can run Proxmox Mail Gateway as virtual appliance on virtualization solutions like Proxmox VE, VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, Virtualbox, and more.

Upgrade from 4.0. to 4.1
Download the servicepack_4.1-4.0.bin. Please use your browser to connect to the web interface and upload the file to your Proxmox Mail Gateway (Administration/Server/Updates).

After applying the update, please check your configuration and all services, never update when your system is under heavy load.

We've got an error while updating.

update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.2.0-4-amd64

restarting services
Starting PostgreSQL 9.1 database server: main.

when removing `diversion of /etc/init.d/proxprox by proxmox-mailgateway'
found `local diversion of /etc/init.d/proxprox to /etc/init.d/proxprox.distrib'
error during install



How we can fix it?
 
which version did you run before the upgrade? are there any custom modifications?

try to upload the servicepack again, does this help?
 
We've upgraded from Proxmox Mail Gateway 4.0-14.
No custom modifications.

The server runs on Proxmox VE 3.4-6 as VM.

We tried to upgrade it again, same error. Please see attached log file.

> Stopping Proxmox policy daemon: proxpolicy failed!

seems stopping this service got a timeout.

try to manually stop this services, then start the upgrade again.
 
Rebootet the server and restartet upgrading. Same error in log: Stopping Proxmox policy daemon: proxpolicy failed!
But now: installation successful.

I think everything works fine now. thanks
