Bonjour,

We had proxmox version 7 installed as standalone (all VM in a host - no cluster) from official ISO and VMs disks were LVM.

After a reboot, the host refused to boot with the following error:

error: disk `lvmid/sLFlej-4zo5-dbz0-oF3d-b6KI-TSk4-8T12ZL/C2FS8I-sVzZ-IGMU-YN02-QoBo-fDbe-CE9wza` not found.
grub rescue>

  • We have followed the official guide here: Recover From Grub Failure and tried both the temporary fix and the grub re-install part to no avail. The create tempgrub trick did not solve it. This is definitely something else.
  • All PVs, VGs and LVs are visible when booting with a Proxmox live USB in debug mode (sdb is the USB drive while sda is the system drive). The content of the /boot directory can even be accessed when mounted:

Can anyone help us?
