Proxmox - Backup Now?

Good day guys.


I was woundering if there is a way of making backups now.
I understand backups are doen with cron jobs but is there a way to force a back up now.

I like having the option to force a new backup before i do any major work in addition to the scheduled ones ...

I don't think the functionality you're asking for exists in the exact way you describe it, at least not from the UI level. As a work-around, simply create a scheduled backup job to run a few minutes from "now" and let it run to backup your machine. Then, if you don't want it to run again, delete the backup.

not via gui. see 'man vzdump'

there are some plans for the new gui but til now no-one started with it.
