I recently upgraded to version 8.
I want to install a Windows 10 VM, but this is not working any more.

I can go through the Windows installation process but when it comes to partition and format the windows disk I get stuck.
Altough I configured a 80 GB disk for this VM Windows does not recognize this disk.

At this point I got stuck.

Does anyone know how to overcome this?

If you use VirtIO SCSI for the virtual hdd don’t forget to mount the recent driver iso as a DVD drive and point Windows to the appropiate driver on that drive (vioscsi -> W10).

I tried to attach virtio.iso but it didn't work, windows still didn't find scsi drives. You can use for hard drive IDE device instead scsi, this solution working for me.

you have to load the drivers from the virtio disc, attached to a CD-ROM.
