Hi all,
I am very new to proxmox and I run into a problem. I tried everything i can without succes.
I bought a secondhand supermicro e300 12D machine and i want to run the latest proxmox version (8.3.1).
I can install proxmox in a raid 1 setup on 2 small disks and the machine also has a hardware raid card (AOC-SLG4-2H8M2) with 2x 4Tb disks.
The 2 small disks work fine in both proxmox version 7.4.1 and 8.3.1.
version 7.4.1 also recognizes the AOC-SLG4-2H8M2 with the 4Tb disks in raid1 setup without any extra configuration.
It uses megaraid_sas driver version: 07.717.02.00-rc1
The new proxmox 8.3.1 version uses megaraid_sas driver version: 07.727.03.00-rc1
I upgraded the bios, checked the firmware on the card. (52.28.0-5308), even tried the latast driver from broadcom.
Everything is upgraded to the latest and gratest.
But still the hardware raid disk is not detected.
I also tried downgrading the driver to the version that is on 7.4.1. That did not work due to kernel commands that are not supported.
I would really like to use the 8.3.1 version of proxmox for future upgrades and support.
It would be nice if one of you is able to help me out with this.
