In our company today I tried to upgrade Proxmox from version 6.x to version 7.
The upgrade completed correctly (via apt), but after GRUB, the monitor displays an Out of range message. I tried about 4 different monitors. All monitors showed a similar message (See Picture 2).
The last screen I can see on monitor, is as on Picture 1.
However, if I select an older kernel, specifically 5.4.x, monitor works correctly. The problem occurs when using the shipped kernel version 5.11.
Since the problem has not been resolved, I tried performing a clean install of Proxmox 7. Unfortunately, I received the same behavior as above.
Since the upgrade failed, I had to do a clean install of PVE 6.x again, and restore vms from backup, this works correctly.
How can I switch from PVE 6 to 7?
Server Fujitsu RX300 S6, monitor connected via VGA.
