Hi...
I am trying to install Proxmox VE on a shared storage HP 2012MSA where I created one virtual disk and several volumes on it, three of them are 10GB (for Proxmox install) and one is big (is a main storage for VMs).
Proxmox successfully installs on the first small volume, but it fails to install on the second and the third volume. It says: "unable to create volume group at /usr/bin/proxinstall line 519".
From some previous posts I learnt that it happens when Proxmox detects the volumegroup named pve that was created by the previous installation. Yes, there is one, on the first volume! But I need two more on two different volumes.
Should I somehow hide the previous installation or what?
As I understand, Proxmox (and other OS's) recognize these volumes on the shared storage as different physical disks. So, what's the problem to install two more times on different disks?

just assign the installation volumes only to one server, why do you share this?

Yes. This works! Thank you! It was so obvious and simple! Stupid me :-)
