afaik: your local backups are vzdump backups dont think you can move them to the pbs, as the pbs backups are totally different to vzdump. Youll need to redo a full backup. You could move the old backups via scp to the pbs, but they wont get integrated into the ui or backup/restore wizards.

while it is not possible to directly import vma based backups into PBS, what you can do is restore the backup to a VM and back it up to PBS again. Another solution would be to perform a filesystem based backup of your vma backups to PBS, then when needed for restore, restore the vma backups to a local storage and finally restore from vma backup.
